1. What is Get More Gigs?

This website proudly receives hundreds of valued visitors a day seeking out exciting entertainment for their venue or function and also a steady flow of Amazing Acts and Bands signing up every day, so we've quickly become a busy and popular classifieds where users negotiate without interference.

2. Who do I contact? I'm a visitor and need more information on an act.

To find out more about an entertainment act contact them directly from their listing page by either emailing them through the 'Send Enquiry' link on their profile page or by phoning them.

For convenience, it is recommended that contact by phone be used in the first instance. On the phone the act will be able to instantly answer queries regarding availability, price and any other questions you may have. The email form relies on your reply details being filled out 100% correctly, is subject to third party email providers systems, and can take significantly longer to arrive or receive a reply than a simple phone call.

Get More Gigs does not represent the acts listed on the directory so we can't find entertainment for you. However, if you do contact us with a general gig vacancy to be filled, we can place an advertisement for you on the member pages of this directory to which members with listed acts will be able to contact you directly expressing their interest in your vacancy. We will seek your consent to do this beforehand though, as your email address will be available to all bands and entertainers listed on the directory and available gigs tend to attract a lot of replies.

3. I already have a website. Why should I list on a directory as well?

Listing on band and entertainment directories is all about gaining maximum exposure for your Act. Due to their size, constantly updated content and search keyword density, directories generally rank higher on search engine results pages than small brochure type websites used by most bands and entertainers. This has the advantage of bringing visitors straight to your listing even when they have not searched specifically for your Act name.

4. Why does Get More Gigs charge a yearly subscription for membership?

This covers the costs of hosting, maintenance and feature upgrades that ensure the directory remains a popular and productive environment for everyone.

Since Get More Gigs is not an agency, the subscription fee is necessary because:

a. No commission or introduction fees are charged on bookings made directly between members and visitors;

b. The Get More Gigs directory does not serve or make money from third party advertising or marketing;

c. Subscriptions help keep the directory up-to-date as disbanded acts do not renew their commitment.

5. How do I cancel my membership?

Registered members subscribed to a recurring annual payment agreement through Paypal UK during the sign up process. This means an annual membership payment is taken automatically by Paypal UK on the expiry date of every current subscription period to ensure uninterrupted continuation of membership.

Current subscriptions that have been paid are non-refundable but future (non-current) subscriptions can be stopped at any time before payment is taken by visiting www.paypal.com, logging in and cancelling the recurring payment profile agreement you have with Get More Gigs from the 'My Pre-Approved Payments' section of your Paypal account.

6. Is Get More Gigs an entertainment agency?

No. Get More Gigs is NOT an Entertainment Agency and does not represent or actively seek work for the acts listed on the directory, nor do we liaise with entertainment acts on behalf of directory visitors seeking to book bands or entertainment. This directory is intended to provide a convenient way for visitors to find listed acts and facilitate direct contact between both parties. Arrangements and negotiations are strictly between visitors and acts.

No commission or introduction fees are charged by Get More Gigs on contracts made between acts and visitors as a result of contact made through this directory. Get More Gigs is not party to any contracts or negotiations made.
