Becoming a registered user requires signing up as a site member by creating an account which is to include a valid username, password and email address. You must be at least 18 years of age to sign up as a member and submit user generated content to the site. All details provided during the registration process must be true and complete.

When selecting a username you acknowledge that we may refuse to permit, or may insist that you change, any username that impersonates another person or breaches the provisions of Section [6] below.

Members have access to all membership services on the site as we may from time to time determine.

Access to membership services allows members to:

  • (a) create a member profile;
  • (b) create a profile listing for a band or entertainment act;
  • (c) receive direct enquiries from visitors to the site by way of phone or email.

5. Listings

We welcome the submission of listings by members for the purposes of advertising an entertainment service.

Listings submitted to the site must constitute bona fide profiles relating to seeking work or gaining contacts in the entertainment industry, and be fair and accurate in all respects. All listings must be posted in the appropriate entertainment category and at our discretion may be moved to maintain the relevancy of information on the site.

Listings submitted to the site must not constitute an advertisement for any product or service that:

  • (a) at our discretion, does not fit the intended purpose of advertising an entertainment service;
  • (b) breaches any applicable laws, regulations or codes, or infringes any third party intellectual property rights or other rights, or gives rise to a cause of action against any person in any jurisdiction;
  • (c) consists of or contains material that would, if published on the site, contravene the provisions of Section [6];

All listings must comply with the "acceptable use" and "user generated content" provisions in Sections [3] and [6].

Without prejudice to our other rights under these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to reject or delete listings that in our reasonable opinion breach these terms and conditions or do not, in our reasonable opinion, meet the intended purpose of advertising an entertainment service provided by a band or other entertainment act.

Members are responsible for securing all copyright and licences required by law to publish their content online. By creating a listing on the site members warrant to having sole ownership and the legal right to publish the relevant text content, images and media files for public view or use. Copyright infringements will result in suspension.

The aim of the Get More Gigs band and entertainment directory is to provide visitors with true, accurate and complete information regarding the acts listed by members. To maintain a high standard of detail and relevancy on the site, Get More Gigs reserve the right to add or edit information provided in listings where, in our opinion, more informative content would benefit site visitors. This can include, but is not limited to, adding photographs, more detailed text content, video and audio clips sourced from a member's relevant band or act website.

It is the responsibility of the member to update listings when required and it is recommended this is undertaken on a regular basis to maintain relevancy and provide visitors to the listings with complete information.

6. User Generated Content

In these terms and conditions, "user content" means material (including without limitation text, images, audio material, video material and audio-visual material) submitted to the site as part of a band or entertainment act listing, or submitted to the site using any other website feature in your capacity as a member.

By publishing User Generated Content on the site members grant to us a royalty-free licence to distribute that user content in any existing or future media for the purposes of promoting both your listings and the Get More Gigs site as a whole. This includes, but is not limited to, advertising band and entertainment listings on social media sites (e.g. our Facebook page) and customising images to create feature links on pages of the Get More Gigs website (e.g. the main category links on the home page). This licence is deemed to be automatically granted on submission of a listing. Members who do not wish to have their listings advertised, featured or distributed should contact us via the contact page with a written instruction to opt out of this service.

User content must not be submitted where it is or has been the subject of any threatened or actual legal proceedings or other similar complaint.

We reserve the right to edit or remove any material submitted to the site, or stored on our servers, or hosted or published upon the site where it is deemed in breach of these terms and conditions.

Notwithstanding our rights under these terms and conditions in relation to user content, we do not undertake to monitor the submission of such content to, or the publication of such content on, the site.

7. Paid Membership

Registering as a member requires the payment of an annual membership subscription. Payment is securely processed by Paypal UK Ltd and at no point do we process, receive or store your payment details.

Payment will be taken automatically by Paypal UK Ltd on behalf of Get More Gigs at the beginning of every year you subscribe to membership. Reminders are not sent to you regarding pending payment of your annual subscription.

Paid membership entitles the member to use the membership services of the site for a period of one year subject to these terms and conditions of use, including our right to revoke membership at any time for breach of these terms.

Get More Gigs is not an entertainment agency and does not take commission or charges from members where those members are booked or contracted by third parties following direct contact made through this website.

a. General

We reserve the right to assess and vary membership fees in accordance with these terms and conditions on a per annum basis. Get More Gigs bills all members through an automatic payment to our Paypal account. You agree to pay Get More Gigs all charges at the prices then in effect for any use of our membership services by you or other persons (including your agents) and you authorise us to charge your chosen payment provider for this service.

b. Recurring Billing

Our membership subscription consists of an initial period of one year, for which there is a one time charge, followed by recurring charges once every 12 months as agreed to by you when signing up. By signing up for membership and entering into this agreement, you acknowledge that your subscription has an initial and recurring payment feature and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges prior to cancellation. Get More Gigs may submit periodic charges (e.g. annually) without further authorisation from you, until you cancel your payment subscription.

c. Auto-Renewal

Membership subscriptions will be automatically extended for successive periods of one year without prior notice. As a fully paid-up member you can cancel your subscription for successive (non-current) periods at any time, before a payment is taken, either through your Paypal account by cancelling the recurring payment profile agreement, or by contacting us. When you cancel your subscription for successive (non-current) membership periods, your current subscription will remain valid for the remainder of it's term and will not be renewed upon expiry. Subject to our Refund Policy (Section [8] below) current subscriptions cannot be cancelled prior to their expiry date and neither full nor prorated refunds will be given for any portion of the subscription fee paid for a current subscription period.

d. Reaffirmation of Authorisation

Non-termination or continued use of this website as a member reaffirms that Get More Gigs is authorised to charge a recurring subscription. Get More Gigs may submit those charges for payment and you will be responsible for such charges. This does not waive Get More Gigs's right to seek payment directly from you. Your subscription charges will be payable in advance as agreed to by you when you subscribe to membership of the Get More Gigs website.

8. Refund Policy

Given the immediate nature of membership and availablilty of this site's services following payment, refunds of a new member's first subscription fee for the initial period of one year will only be made where, at the time we receive your request for a refund:

  • (a) you have been a newly registered member of Get More Gigs for no more than 14 days; and
  • (b) during that time you have not created and posted any listing profiles for public view on the website, including any listings you may have created and posted for public view that have been subsequently deleted either by you or a Get More Gigs administrator. Note: all listings created are recorded by timestamp and screenshots.

Refunds will only be made through Paypal to your Paypal account or Card Provider you used when signing up.

If you are a new member and require a refund of your first subscription fee during this 14 day period and have not posted any Listing Profiles for public display during this time, including any since deleted, please contact us immediately. Unfortunately, refund requests received more than 14 days after initial sign up cannot be considered.

Current subscriptions that do not qualify for a refund under clause (a) or (b) of this section [8] cannot be cancelled prior to their expiry date and neither full nor prorated refunds will be given for any portion of the subscription fee paid for any current annual subscription period.

Recurring payment agreements for future (non-current) subscription periods can be stopped at any time before a payment is taken by cancelling through your Paypal account or by contacting us with a cancellation request.

9. Cessation of Services

We reserve the right to:

  • (a) cease any of our services (and the publication of the site);
  • (b) cease or modify one or more aspects of the site;

You acknowledge that some information published on the site is submitted by registered members, and we do not review or approve such information. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to the site and the use of the site (including, without limitation, any warranties implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and/or the use of reasonable care and skill).

11. Limitations and Exclusions of Liability

Nothing in these terms and conditions (or elsewhere on the site) will exclude or limit our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Subject to this, our liability to users in relation to the use of the site or under or in connection with these terms and conditions, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, will be limited as follows:

Third party visitors to the site have the option of sending messages and enquiries directly to members via a contact form associated with each member's listing pages. These enquiries are delivered directly to the registered email address of the member.
